NOTES:
24 July 1785 - committed to gaol at Exeter for house breaking. By the end of April 1786 he was on the 'Dunkirk' hulk.
4 October 1788 - Both John and his wife were sent to Norfolk Island on the 'Golden Grove'.
14 December 1789 - Received 200 lashes for robbing a garden
Anderson was initially working for John Altree and Thomas Webb at Ball's Bay, NI and by the end of 1791 he was a member of the night watch at Grenville Vale and. Off Stores by 3 March 1791 he was working for Owen Cavenaugh..
March 1793 - He was listed as living on 10 acres (12 acres by October that year). He and his wife had three children by mid-June 1794. He disappears from the records after 1796 and his wife later cohabited with Francis Flexmore, subsequently going to Van Diemens Land when the Norfolk Island settlement was closed down.
