Ann SMITH - Convict


Convict Ann Smith was born in Wales in 1782. Ann was sentenced on the 30 March 1802 in Wales for stealing some silk materal in a shop, and was sentenced for 7 years and was transported from Cowes England on the ship Experiment 1. on board there were 2 males and 136 females sailed, however 6 females died on the voyage out to Australia. Ann meet and married Convict Robert Bolton on the 3 November 1804 in Sydney NSW. Ann and Robert had 12 children. Ann died on the 23 August 1839 at Prospect, near Castlereagh NSW and is buried in an unmarked grave at the Church of England Cemetery at Castlereagh, with her husband Robert. Robert and Ann are my GGGGgrandparents.
